Late Summer Fun!

Hey all!

Pete here with a random blog entry. We gotta keep it current, right?

This past weekend we were at the Dubliner, our home away from home. This is the bar that gave us our first shot at doing the Irish music thing, so we have a special fondness for this place. Darren (or "Daz" as he's known by many folks) is such an awesome guy and we're very thankful for all the support he's given us. He's the one that books the room and pours all our drinks... He rocks.

The Dubliner is also the bar where I met my wife, Karen. Karen & I hang out there whenever we can, as it's right down the street from us. Less lately, as we have a baby now... As a matter of fact, that's where we were a few hours before Finn was conceived! Ha! Is that TMI? I don't know... Regardless, we ave some good connections to the Dubliner. The only low point was when our friend Christine broke her face there.

Anyhoo - we love the Dubliner and always look forward to performing there. We'll definitely have more dates booked there in the future, so keep an eye on the performance calendar.

Next up it's Paddy Wagon's in Coon Rapids (Sat. Sept 5th)! This is a new venue for us so we're looking forward to it with anticipation!

Hope y'all are doing great and we hope to see you again soon. Slainte!

Awesome Shows at the St. Paul Irish Fair!

The Hounds would like to thank all the fans who attended the Irish Fair in St. Paul this weekend!

The first show was just like being on the Emerald Isle (at least weather wise!) We kicked off our show just in time to be told to unplug due to the buckets of sideways rain falling in on us! We took this opportunity to get close and personal with our fans! We all huddled together under the driest part of the tent and proceeded the show unplugged! We had a blast! (even if it was hard to play with the rain all over the fingerboards!

The second show was met with sun and humidity and many smiling faces and tapping toes, just the way a good hound likes it! Even after Les busted a string on the last tune, the energy was full and thick! (like the weather) LOL

It was a wonderful time by all! Thank you for your support, physically, energetically and at the merch tent!

See you again at the Dubliner on Saturday Aug 15th! Free show!!

Your Hound,
Michelle :)
